I’m off to the lakes this weekend with wifey, staying at seatoller campsite with a mate and his wife. He is very (ultra) fit, 17min/5k, and although I’m reasonable for long days (that BG leg 4 is looking soo close), Wifey is a little slower and not wanting a beasting. Just need some tailored walks really! Suggestions on a postcard for ideas, especially with the weather forecast!

Am thinking easy day sat. Perhaps Rosthwaite fell/combe head loop.

Sunday Base brown, great gable and styhead tarn

Monday perhaps Seathwaite fell via styhead and sprinkling tarn. Or walking over to Grange via Castle Crag. As it’s meant to be especially windy..

However, any other suitable suggestions welcome..

If you've done the obvious peaks around there, I've always thought it'd be fun to link some of the passes, eg over Honister (maybe via Hause Gill to avoid the road) to Buttermere, then Scarth Gap to Ennerdale, Black Sail to Wasdale, pint at the WHH, back over Styhead to Seathwaite maybe jogging up Gable from Styhead Tarn if you're still full of beans...

A better walk to Grange would be over Grange fell and King's How. Drop into Grange for lunch and amble back to Seatoller through Johnny's Wood scooting up Castle Crag on the way if you're not too bloated.
