Anyone stayed there? Is it any good?

I've not stayed in the Alpine Bunkhouse bit itself, but have stayed in the main hostel which is good quality. The couple that run the place are lovely - friendly and helpful and are also into the outdoors themselves so understand what folk want out of a bunkhouse if they're hitting the hills

anyone know what the kitchen facilities are like and does it have its own drying room?

Stayed there last December with people from Uni, and from what I remember the kitchen is a part of the main central room with the 3 bunk rooms off to the side. There was a decent hob with 4? rings I think and an oven. Was enough to feed 20 with curry and rice as well as sticky toffee pudding. I can't remember if there was a drying room, but there may well have been!
