For I AM laydee.

I need inspiration to get off my fat laydee ass & train harder!

Are there any climbing dvds that are all female or mostly female or just have loads of women climbing in them? Preferably British too. I hate it when they have perfect teeth or a country for of bolted crags to train on.

In reply to limey: not british, but Catherine Destivelle "beyond the summits" is awesome. she does have perfect teeth though. Know what you mean though - lots of dvds feature one or two women climbers, very few feature more than that. would be nice to see a dvd or two with lots of inspiring footage of women climbers going for it

In reply to limey: If you are anywhere near Edinburgh then Jen Randall's film 'Push It' is having it's premier at the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival on ALL FEMALE climbers pushing the limits (including Scotland's own Natalie Berry) Should be good and inspiring!

In reply to limey: One Winter:- Airlie Anderson and Lucy Creamer doing winter climbing in and out of comps, plus some grit. It's been a long while since I've watched it but I seem to remember AA soloing Manchester Buttress (HS) and leading Harvest (E4).

In reply to limey:

If you can find it "Steel Women" was an excellent all-female climbing film - loads of the top female climbers both climbing and talking about climbing, what being a female climber meant to them etc. Both good climbing and interesting from the interviews. I've not seen a copy around for ages though...
