Does anyone know any top rope climbs in the Nth York Moors for improvers (almost beginners) we have done some Southern sandstone climbing and in Nth York Moors later in the year.

In reply to bjmorgan;

Apart from the few crags which are around 100ft in hight, I'd have thought you could top rope most of the others.

In reply to bjmorgan: I'd point you towards the wainstones as people top rope there all the time & the rock is fairly solid unlike other popular nym venue's. There are a fair few easy climbs for you to get stuck into on the central section like wall & ledge/slab climb & there's a few at highcliffe with a bit more length to them.

In reply to bjmorgan: Loads of crags - Wainstones, Scugdale (Barkers Crags) in the Teesside area, Brimham and Armscliffe near the Dales to name a few. Check out: http://www.climbonline.co.uk/north_east_action.htm

or get the Rockfax for more info.
