BHF Heartstart ELS (First Aid) in Schools/OECs
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) offers their Heartstart in Schools (ELS) first aid programme to organisations and OECs as well as schools.
Over 3 million people in the UK have completed the 3hr course whose core subjects are:
- Safe approach & casualty assessment
- Recovery position
- Choking
- CPR
- Serious bleeding
Affiliation is required for the scheme which is completely free of charge with all training and resources supplied.
In a nutshell, I train outdoor professionals to deliver the course and they then train and issue certificates to the youngsters.
