I'm the manager of Newmilns ski slope and are currently upgrading or slopes and have required a climbing wall. I have heard that our staff can do some in house training if we have a MIA doing a site specific course and is a technical advisor. Is this information correct and can anyone help?

MIA is recognised as an appropriate qualification for a wall technical advisor. You might want to get someone with experience of TA work as well. You might try the AMI website for folks in your area?

Or contact Mountain Leader Training Scotland for advise?

And be cautious about folks leaping at you offering to be a TA for peanuts.....

I hope he doesn't mind me pointing him out, but Al Halewood who runs 'climb when you're ready' has loads of TA and wall experience as well as being an all round good egg. He's also one of the best coaches/trainers around.

Definitely a recommendation from me.
