Armathwaite conditions over winter?

Just wondering, being one of the very few crags that I could get to without a car, how's the riverside generally like, or will most of the bouldering be submerged underwater or with a very muddy landing?

In reply to hfac: it can be fine. sometimes its lovelly if the suns out.u can usualy get something done even if the river is up.

In reply to hfac: if the river is up I wouldn't bother going because it does effect the sandy bay a lot! But it's normally pretty reliable, the landings don't get muddy because it sand and the rock itself is never wet because its a overhang. You can actually keep dry in terental rain so don't be put off by the odd shower! Guide available at lakesbloc.com
