Hello - after doing the route on Friday, while abseiling back down an ice axe came off my harness and dropped into the crack. I'm going to attempt to retrieve it (I know, possibly futile) but I'm sure some folk would have been on the route today and if by some fantastic twist of fate they managed to reach and retrieve it, I would be delighted to hear from them.

It's very battered and the pick is pretty worn, but it's important to me, and its mate misses it...

Climbed the route today and didn't see it, there was a lot of spindrift blowing down the crack so it might be gone until spring.

same as they use to retrieve stuff that falls in at marinas

You can walk into the savage-ness of the slit on abseil. I did it to retrieve the plastic bit off one of those DMM belay krabs. Man-up and get in there before it gets en-cased in a Winter's worth of ice.
