Well were not quite there yet for routes but we have had snow already! Myself and a mate got out on Arenig Fawr yesterday to some surprisingly deep snow cover, shin deep on the paths and thigh deep in the drifts. Coould be a good sign for the coming winter season, many of our decent winters in Snowdonia started with a significant dump in November followed by several thaw freeze cycles. It looked like the Carneddau had got the most of the snow from what we could see from our viewpoint.

In reply to Joss:

I see that several mixed routes got ticked, some with an axe used so does that make this an official Welsh Winter??! <Tongue rests in the cheek slightly>

Fingers crossed for the coming weeks.
