Hi folks, I'm sure there are plenty of posts about this but I couldn't find one so here goes,

Woke up today with pain in my palm, 2 days after my last climb, after some prodding about it seems to be linked to my middle finger and is right in the centre of my palm. Never had this before and wondering what to do other then rest, I don't really understand the icing/heating stuff.

I guessing it's not too serious as it took so long to appear, I will rest for a week or so anyway.

Any advice on how to help it heal would be appreciated, ta muchly.

Possibly a Flexor Unit tear / strain? (I hate this term as a diagnosis as it is so vague).

Seems strange it took a couple of days to come on - could it just be bruising?
