So for the first time since 2004 Scottish viewers will be able to see SPL football live on terrestrial TV. Great news, I can't help but think that the malaise that Scottish football currently finds itself in is partly due to it's lack of TV coverage since it did a deal with Setanta.

Unfortunately in an uncanny parallel with our national team's often heroic performances, the Premier League have managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The commentary is going to be in Gaelic, a language understood by less 100000 people in a country with a population of 5.1 million.

Brilliant.

Football is crap in any language, in my mind , however, from what I hear from 'fans' is Scottish football in particular is unlikely to encourage anyone to learn Gaelic go make the experience any better.

What is Gaelic for talentless, piss and crap?
