Does anyone know of any winter routes in Spain for this winter.Heading south for some mountain biking was hoping to crack some white stuff on the way down.
Looking at winter plods coupled with a few Scottish 3/4 ice .
If you know any guides that you could recommend would be good too.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Some good ice in the Sierra Nevada.

Also some good routes on the north face of Mulhacen.

I can point you at some good gullies in the upper Rio Lanjaron most have probably never had winter ascents!

In reply to andy foers: On the French side of the Pyrenees, there's the Cirque de Gavarnie: http://www.ukclimbing.com/articles/page.php?id=831

There are a couple of other guidebooks to winter climbing in the Spanish Pyrenees here: http://www.needlesports.com/Catalogue/Books-Maps-DVDs/Foreign-Climbing-Guid...

Just as soon as you exit the Bielsa tunnel on the Spanish side, there are a multitude of easily accessable routes !
