Was in the corries last couple of days and everything was shaping up nicely, lots of powder about but the buttresses were beautifully rimed and a lot of teams out on Wednesday. Quite an effort to get to the routes.
Went along the Aonach Eagach today and weather was superb, pretty much base layer weather with bright sunshine and no wind. Conditions were great for that kind of route but a lot of the turf was still unfrozen, even on areas exposed to the recent northerly winds. Snow is all powder but it's not too deep on the route. Lochain might be a little way off being in condition just now; would be surprised if the turf was frozen over there.
