This puts the few extraneous bolts in the UK into some perspective! In terms of environmental impact.

They're missing out on a potential money spinner here.

Rather than flatten the mountains, they ought to try and sell them off to flat places, like Holland and Norfolk.

Blimey. Ive actually been to Lanzhou, several times and know the area this article is talking about. Amazing, if they go ahead with the scheme.
