rope diameters, 7.8 can be different?
i recently purchased a new half rope (sterling 7.8) to go with my tendon 7.8 master as i couldn't find another tendon in the U.K. The sterling is obviously fatter. they work fine together (i've avoided absailing on an overhand) but why are they different? any ideas? is the diameter only measuring the core?
In reply to tomking1986:
The diameter is measured under a load of 10kg and there is a tolerance of +/-0.3mm.
In reply to tomking1986: Where did you get the Sterling if you dont mine me asking.
Thanks
In reply to tomking1986: How are you satisfied with Tendon. Mine, after only two seasons, is soaking water like a sponge..
