Had a heel injury for a while now and wondering if someone could recommend someone for a reasonable price. Think it is an impact injury on my heel after pushing it too hard on a night run. Dont think it is Plantar Fasciitis, I have been out for 2 months now and not run at all. it also seems to be getting better very slowly, but soon as I start light running it comes back. Especially when going down hills. This is very frustrating I had booked a few races and had big plans for next year...

If someone has some suggestions for what this might be. I have rested too long now, and believe it is time for me to actually see someone about it.

In reply to samsimpson: I can highly recommend sports-med in Stockport.
Physio and podiatry, background in elite sport and reasonably priced as physios go I think. Kept me in one piece which is some feat I can tell you!

www.globaltherapies.com - Based in Glossop so a little out of your way but they're very good and both keen fell runners themselves, so will be able to give you specific advice on running stuff.

Highly recommended.

Athlete Matters in Worsley - that's where most of the top runners in the area go to. I'm off there tomorrow as it happens for help with a calf injury.

A bit out of the OPs area, but a +1 from me. The OPs also going to be looking at a good £300 for the investigation and a set of orthotics, but well worth it in my case.
