Off to the Dolomites ice climbing January next year. Has anyone found websites giving details of conditions etc. Quick search didn't turn up anything useful.

Thanks

Phil

In reply to Phil Tucker: I don't know of one. The simple answer is Sottoguda. If its too snowy else where, it's protected by trees at the top of the climbs and the conditions are as regular as a granny on bran. Else where just head for north facing venues and it'll be cold enough...

Conditions at the moment are very good for December. We climbed at Malga Sorgazza last Sunday and Val Daone tomorrow. Long term forecast seems less positive and it is said to be getting milder in a week or so.

If you want info in English your best bet might be asking on here - IF WE HAD A SET OF DEDICATED CONDITIONS THREADS (hark thee mods) like we been asking for for years, then it would be easier.
