Going there around New Year, am wondering if there'll be any snowy walking to be had?

In reply to Timmd: nothing at all in windermere. looking towards the coniston fells there is a little bit of white high up. it will probably be very wet and slushy by now. sorry

I was looking forward to using my new crampons.....no chance this week and next week doesn't look much better. It's still good though !
