I've always tried to get in one winter climbing trip every year, plus some skiing. However, this year I snowboarded for the first time and it was awesome! Anyone else sacked in winter climbing for other sports?
My main thought is that basically winter climbing is a major hassle when you're time limited. Loads of gear, unreliable conditions etc etc. Snowboarding involves minimal kit plus you get speed!
Also heli-snowboarding could add that extra "off-piste" excitement as well as views, lack of crowds etc etc.
What say the UKC collective?
