Was thinking about taking a gap year next year, living in the french alps.
I'd work half the year to save up and then spend the other half in france, hopefully learning the art of alpine climbing.
Is it feasible to do this cheaply, ie, meet up with people and learn from then instead of spending a small fortune on climbing courses.
Oh and I speak french so the language barrier wouldn't be a problem.
What are your experiences?
