I’m off away with work for a few weeks and am going to Klymnos soon after I get back which somewhat buggers up my training. Does anyone have any training tips for staying in lots of random hotels? I’ve been told the Gripmasters finger exercise thingies don’t really work for getting/keeping fitness and I can’t really work out how to attach things like rock rings in a hotel from (skyhooks off the doorframe??) Anyone got any tips?
In reply to ebdon: most major cities in the world have climbing or bouldering walls. Web search should show you where. Failing that a set of metolius pump rocks a couple of slings karabiner and a tree branch football posts or chin up bar in the hotel gym. Failing that the hotel gym will do. For endurance use the rower with a open hang 2-4 finger hold can also do this in the crimp half crimp grip. Same principle on the lat pull down. Chin up bar with lock offs or frenchies. Wrist curls n cardio. How long before the climbing trip are you going to be away?
