Trying to head down tonight, anf get a day in tomorrow, any suggestions from locals, Ive never toured in n wales.. has anyone been out today and how's it looking for snow cover too. From what ive read on here its dumped a considerable load last night. Thinking something in the carneddau or maybe loop up over Snowdon. Ive got chains if need be so should be right to get most places. Thanks for any help.

In reply to Paul R: unless there's some deeper stuff over the north side of the carneddau I wouldn't say there's enough cover to make it worth while. quite a lot of the snow was blown about yesterday so didn't land evenly.

hoopefully there's someone with more information but based on what I experienced today i'd leave the skis and get the axes out for some mixed action!

In reply to higherclimbingwales: nice one. mixed would be good but desperately trying to find a reason to get some blood flowing in my legs for a trip next month. wind forecast is high tomorrow too... mmm
