Chamonix Area Campsites with a pool ?

I've scoured the past posts on here relating to Chamonix and camping and 99% of them are looking for the cheapest!

Sadly, with family in tow cheapest is no longer top priority. We had a great 2 site fortnight last year near Les Gets but were spoilt with both having pools which is great for my lad.

Does anybody know of a site with a pool anywhere near Cham ? It doesn't have to be in / near the town - anywhere in the valley will probably do.

I think my wife has found one (mer de glace?) with a free shuttle bus to Cham which has a pool with slides apparently.

Also, we have a campervan.

Any options for us ?

Cheers

Take a day trip to Passy (Lac de Passy, France in Google maps). We spent a day or two living out of the van in the carpark there, but not sure if this is actually allowed. Great place for a chilled day out of the valley. Get there early for a parking space though.

In reply to alanbill99: hi Alan, we stayed at mer de glacé last September. Don't recall there being a pool though. Having said that it was a great site in a great location with a short 40 minute off road stroll into Chamonix. We were in a camper too so you'll have no problems with that unless its a large (8m+) motorhome. We will definitely be heading back this year again.

We stayed in the Ile des Barrats campsite opposite the hospital in Cham:

We had out T2 campervan with a fairly big awning. 10 min walk to town, bus stop down the road which we used to get to a huge swimming pool about 25 mins away, forget what it was called but olympic sized.

Excellent site, very friendly, popular and the best views of Mt Blanc.

Forgot to add, have you thought about anywhere else? When we toured round in our bus, we stayed in Doussard, south end of Lake Annecy.

Right on the lake, paragliding, climbing, swimming pool, regular buses to the town, a really fantastic place:

Parked right next to the lake, swimming in it every day:
