In reply to JustAnotherClimber:

I've never been to Jasper so can't comment on the local ethics or what the bolting is like on other routes.

From the photos it looks as though most of the route cannot be protected in a traditional manner, correct me if I am wrong.

If all the other routes are bolt protected and the local ethic is sport and bolting is accepted then I see no reason why this route should be any different.

There are many sport routes in the UK which can be protected by trad gear in places, but not everywhere and the local ethic is for bolting and sport.

However, as I say, I do not know anything about Jasper or the local ethics.

Rich.

Can't see the problem, the routes next to it are all bolted so it looks like a sport crag. Also the section above looks pretty blank with no obvious gear placements.

In reply to JustAnotherClimber: Portland (uk) has been bolted and so have most of the trad lines right next to cracks, I don't feel embaressed/annoyed

Bolting is part of climbing

You only got three replies before somebody called you out. Therefore:

1/10 Poor Effort.
