Has anyone been up Sron na Lairig recently was wondering what conditions and descent route is like from col at 700m?

In reply to Palomino1hills:

It'll be very snowy right now. The descent north from the col requires care in avalanche conditions, but it should always be possible to link turfy ribs and stay clear of the deep stuff, assuming it's still daylight and you can see stuff.

Lots of snow today at Glencoe, check the Ski Centre website. They say High Avalanche risk higher slopes.

In reply to Jamie B: James and I took that descent last week in similar (?) conditions and was indeed possible to stick to safer and turfy ground. Might be a bit more snow on it now though...

In reply to Only a hill:

It may well be at least partially scoured, as the wind has been in the North.
