Saw this documentatry film about the famous war photographer last night and loved it.

The film was far more than a glorified slide show of his photographs. It was a nicely contructed journey through his career during which he explores his own fascination with photography, war, human nature and the relationship between them. McCullin himself is a very eloquent speaker who at times outshines his own work. When describing, for example, a visit to a hospital in Beirut the photographs come second to his compelling and moving narrative.
Well worth a visit to the cinema.
