I've been on the avaaz web site for a number of years and while it publicises worthy causes I'm not sure it does much else.

I suppose I should really go out and cut holes in some factory ships nets to make a real effort.

In reply to krikoman: Not convinced sadly. But the people to whom the petition is directed are supposed to "represent" us in some way so maybe it will make a small diff.?? *clutches at straws*

what I'd like to see is a requirement in this country (and the EU) for the source of all fish sold to be on the packaging. At least then we'd have a chance to make our own reasoned decision.
