Anyone know how much snow is still lying on the high peaks of the Lakes? I'm particularly interested in the Scafells and Blencathra. I've checked webcams around Keswick for an idea, but it's been quite cloudy so is difficult to see what it's like up high.
Thanks for any info!

In reply to Jamie Hageman: Climbed Central Gully on Great End on Thursday, lots of snow around but thawing quickly, some fracture lines at the top. Pinnacle ridge on St Sunday yesterday, nothing at all, but the view of Helvellyn showed lots on top and on Striding Edge. Didnt look to be too much on Blencathra.Hope that helps.

In reply to Gael Force: Aha, Emmett isn't it? Remember that day on Aonach Beag well.
I think I've already decided to wait for a bit more snow before the long drive to the Lakes. Torridon it is.
