Anyone have an opinion on this guidebook, especially how good the maps are, as have had bad (got lost lots) experiences with font guides in the past.

Also anyone know of any good iPhone apps for the forest?

In reply to Jack Whiteley:
The guide is excellent, the maps are excellent. It will be even better when the second part is published and it covers the whole forest.

In reply to Jack Whiteley: really beautiful topos of areas with clear diagrams showing groupings of blocs, not much writing, but yeh, for maps it seems shit hot.

The guy that does 5+6 and 7+8 has also done an App though only for 5+6 at the mo I think. Both of the paper guides are fantastic.

The app is iPhone only sadly - Android might be coming out.

I've got 5+6 and will be using it in anger over Easter. Not sure how accurate the maps are yet, but it's very "dry".

Literally nothing more than maps (no route topos), route numbers, grades and a single sentance per problem.
Probably about 20 photos in the entire book.

So in terms of pre-trip psyche, it doesn't deliver. But for route finding, top notch.
