Hello climbing folk!
Going to font next week, was wondering if anyone good point us in the direction of a cheap and well located campsite that is open this time O year?
Thank youuu

In reply to trystan: Les courtilles du lido (seine et marne) is open all year i believe. 6 km south of Font. Has own web site and can book on line.
In reply to trystan: Les Pres is great. The family that run it are really friendly and there's everything you need.

In reply to outdoorsperson: April - September only I think for that one.

It's not, but I recall recently receiving an email from them saying they have reopened after the winter

Next week?? Nothing like being prepared eh? I think the Milly campsite is open in Feb, and is well located...but its not particularly cheap to be honest!

This of course rather depends on where you set off from! Whether you take the train or the ferry and also the time of day that you travel as you are likely to need to negotiate the m25 and either the franciliene (sp?) or the peripherique.
About 4 hrs once you get across the Chanel.

From Calais about 4/5 hours unless you hit the rush hour around Paris in which case you can add another couple of hours particularly on a Fri around tea time.

From Dieppe about two and a half hours

Thanks guys
In reply to trystan:

Camping at Grez sur Loing is a lot nicer site than La musardiere and is literally half the price! The owners speak prefect English too.
