Question for the ladies!
So I've started going out with this girl and I want to buy her some undies as a surprise present. Sneaked a look at the bra size so that's sorted but her knickers only had "M" on them. Does this mean medium? If so is that equivalent to about a euro size 36? She's got a sporty build and her bum is just about perfect - not too big, not too small .
I'm based in Spain so will have to buy them here.
Any advice?

It's a minefield assuming any sort of consistency of sizing these days, not just for men

Sorry, the "M" means "Mens". That will hopefully have avoided an awkward scene.

Sounds odd but it might be - a slim tall person might still be a size 12, whilst a slim smaller person might be more likely to be a size 8, and as we've agreed, 'medium' is a pretty arbitrary size. I say go for size 12.

A size 12 is the most common size so unless she is rather petit then she should be a 12 or close to it.In saying that different brands can be a size or two different but i'd say you won't go wrong with a 12 or euro 40.

Am I the only one who thinks that buying her underwear might not be a good idea? Even if you know what size she is, which you don't really, that's no guarantee what you get will fit her or be something she would want to wear (although I also understand that underwear gifted like this isn't always intended to be worn). Too much of a minefield, especially if you've only recently started going out.

I'm 5'8" and a size 10. I tend to buy pants a size bigger so they dont ride up my backside. Thongs as well. I dont like feeling too cramped down there.

I would go with about size 12 if it says m. But then it does all depend on what sort of knickers they are aswell lol.

In my humble opinion, NEVER ever buy a woman underwear.

At best they will think you are a pervert.

(I've been married 23 years and did used to buy her underwear which she would NEVER choose to wear)
