Is Ricky Bell the most prolific hard trad new router on these isle?

He certainly seems to be banging out new E7-9's on a regular enough basis.

How do N Irish grades compare with grades in the rest of the UK ? from limited experience of punter grades, the Mournes especially are pretty tough !

Well Eddie Cooper, probably the godfather of hard northern irish trad climbing, always used to say he couldn't climb harder than E5. He did lots of routes that were hard for him that he always only graded E5. Turned out that not very many people who could climb E5 were able to do them and that maybe Eddie was able to climb above E5 after all. So in answer to your question I'd say Northern Irish grades probably can be a bit like scottish VSs. Certainly all of the talk asides I've not heard a single person doubt the grading on any or Ricki's harder routes yet. Mind in saying that there aren't that many people repeating them anyways but gives you an indication.

But there are also some soft touches: e.g. Meat Grinder, Purple Haze & Overdue (all in the Lower Cove)

What a great film, if you like this buy Underdeveloped. Not surprised the cameraman didn't fancy 'a go' on The Peace Line, made my arse spasm.

A follow up to Underdeveloped was in the pipeline (hence the trailer to 'The Frontier Club': vimeo.com/27816553). But I think it was canned for some reason - or at least never materialised.

I guess they have just decided to get some of the footage in the old public domain. Heroes.
