Any advice or experience on the best places to look for last minute ski holiday deals?

I have been looking for the last few weeks and its a sorry state of affirs this year.
last year i got a half board hotel in a really good location for less than £300 booking about 4 weeks before.
This year i have been looking and the deals arent coming up even if you leave it down to the wire you are only saving 100 quid of list price.
i have been looking to go for the last few weeks and even looking to book the day before going and still no major discounts.
i would suggest not leaving it right down to the last minute this year but allowing yourself at least a week or two so you at least get a better choice of location as this year it seems that the later you leave it the less choice but still paying a similar amount to a week or two before.
If you do find any good deals then let me know as i am still looking to go this year.
