Do I need a tourist visa - 3 day visit only? If so, how's the best & quickest way to get one?

Cheers!!

In reply to Greenbanks: Yes. You can use an agency, but I've found it, if anything, easier to do it myself directly. http://ru.vfsglobal.co.uk/Visa_application_form.html

In reply to Submit to Gravity: Oh, an advantage of using an agency is that they give you an invitation. If you do it yourself you need to get one from a hotel or something. Where are you going and where are you planning on staying?

In reply to Submit to Gravity:

Thanks - looked at the agency option; I needed it pdq, but they were too slow...anyway, lesson learned.

I use "Real Russia" for all my needs http://www.realrussia.co.uk/ you pay a bit extra of course but their a good service.

In reply to pass and peak: I used them and they were fine. The second time I went there were 3 of us so I did it myself and saved a fair bit of money.

If it's less than 72 hours you may be able to get a transit visa - no invitation required for that. You do need to have proof of when you'll be entering/leaving the country.

I use Russia House in London for my visas.

Quick depends on the service you buy.

It can be slow anyway. In the middle of last year even on fast visas it was still something like 2 weeks. It has improved over the last few months.
