Is there anywhere I can get insurance just for my gear for the next two weeks or so? I'm already covered by group travel insurance so don't want to have to pay for that again. Off on Friday so if it can be set up quickly online that would be ideal.

Check your household insurance, it may be covered already for travelling, if not, see if you can get it added as an endorsement.

Looked at Snow Card, I'm trying to insure it mainly against theft or getting lost while in transit, but as I'll be ice climbing it automatically doubles the price. Going to phone up the people who insure my room in halls tomorrow and see if they can do something. Any other suggestions?

IIn reply to florence58: use snowcard and accept no cover for ice climbin etc this way your insured for transit only, suggest u give them a bell 2 confirm
