I was unfortunate recently to get a puncher due to a piece of metal going thru the side wall of my tyre leaving about a 5mm hole and ruining the tyre as cannot contain the tube.
Was wondering if anybody has any experience in repairing so good to use again as it was a pretty new Conti Grand prix.
Or should I just bin it off and not risk it blowing out on my somewhere.
Note. I did a tempory fix using a bit of old tyre I carry round to get home.
You can get tyre patches, but not sure id want to trust one for the sake of £30 on a road bike, when a nasty failure would bugger your rims if not you.
