The parent company is German, and it seems they decided to consolidate research activities in Germany. I can remember going to visit them on an MSc field trip in 2003, and I'm not sure how far they've advanced in that time - it's had the air of promising technology for quite along time without really making a particularly strong impact. It's obviously very disappointing for the Inverness workforce, but I'm not sure it's a very important player.
