Don't you speak Pig? He wanted to climb with you; he used to be a coward, but now he's got rasher.

In reply to Wee Davie: Some top porcine action there Davie! I think the pigs only eat you if you are dead, i.e. climber who don't put in enough ice screws then fall off.

Thanks, brings back memories
". This pitch is very exposed and steep for 30m and it seemed a bit hard for a IV. Maybe a touch of the MacLeod sandbag here"

Can't speak for him but we graded the Croc as IV back in 1980 (or thereabouts)as it was less than 500 feet so couldn't be V - times (& grades) change (& we had terrors, not these fancy modern tools

In reply to Doug:

Great effort Doug. These steep water ice lines must have been serious undertakings with a few snargs and warthogs.
The modern generation are just a wee bit spoiled with our racks of Turbo Expresses and fancy ergo tools!

Loveing the vids and the banter Davie , ice looked good .
I've been chased twice this year by the pigs lol big suckers them like
 Martin W 19 Mar 2013
In reply to mark turnbull: Chased? They're just being friendly. If you stop and give them a scratch between the ears they calm down, then get bored and go off to find a bit of turf they haven't dug up yet.

And yes, I have met those exact pigs this year, and no, they're not that big, for pigs.

>no, they're not that big, for pigs.

They must have grown since you saw them. These were the size of Transit vans and their fangs dripped with the blood of many a fallen cragsman!

In the Martell on "Grab a Granny nights" I seem to remember the offer of a half pint of cider would fend of unwanted advances long enough to effect an escape!! Great vids and craic Davie, keep em coming.
