I know many groups use the Cuttings for beginners - but I was wondering how easy some of the climbs are to set up for Top Ropes - ie do you have to climb first or can it be set up by absailing to the lower offs? More of a question of time really?

Also as the cuttings are quite huge where is the best spot for beginners - places that wont annoy other climbers.

Thanks

In reply to Boulderdash86: Contrary to popular opinion, The Cuttings is quite rubbish for beginners. All the easy stuff is now so polished that even some of the 3's and 4's feel like a mid grade 6!

IMHO you'd be much better off at somewhere like Blacknor South, Battleship Block, Diamond Slabs, Tripple Slabs or Cheyne Weares.

And, back to your original point, no, no chance of abbing to the lower offs. Complete chossfest above!
