Hey I'm just looking at starting out. I've had a few tasters indoors and outdoors and loved it!! So I'm looking at getting kitted out and for any advice, maybe a partner to learn from. I'm 25 and based in Wakefield at the weekend, but I'm away with work during the week.

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated

Don't underestimate how much you can teach yourself.

Don't think that you have to start indoors before moving outdoors.

Buy a book to learn the basics, gives you something to build on.

Buy the cheapest gear that you can, there's really no need for expensive ropes or fancy belay devices.
