As it says which is the best solar charger out there at the moment...have looked at Freeloader and Solar - am really looking at just trickle charging phone or mp3 player.

Have a look at goal zero, I've used a few different makes and theirs are by far the best

In reply to Boulderdash86: I used a goal zero 10 adventure kit in the Himalayas last year with great success, it charged my iPhone,iPad and my camera. I've tried a lot of other kits and this is by far the best, slightly expensive but search about and you can pick it up for £100ish.

I've used Solio and Power Monkey Explorer and both work just fine. I am however looking to buy a Goal Zero kit next as they seem more along the lines of what I want for expeditions.
The Power Monkey is small and light, and will strap easily to your pack and charge your iPod while walking/climbing if that's of use (or you can lie it on the ground at camp). I guess the Solio will do the same, but it's a little bulkier (really not that much though).
