Can anybody recommend any single pitch crags in the Lake District of good quality?? Around Sev-Hvs

In reply to robcaesar: Long Scar and Black Crag above Wrynose Pass have lovely rock and routes at those grades.
Nice mountain atmosphere with an easy walk in

Castle Rock of Triermain. Especially in that grade bracket the South Crag is very nice, roadside and isn't subject to a bungalow sized piece of rock potentially falling off...

In reply to robcaesar: Nice! They all look really good crags! Plan at the minute is Dow Crag if MultiPitch and Shepherds if single pitch

In reply to robcaesar: Previous suggestions are all good. As the better crags in the Lakes tend to be up mountains and big then there aren't many good single pitch options. If the weather's warm then Kern Knots on Gable is excellent. Most routes are 2 pitches, around 40m so could be done in one pitch with a 60m rope.

Also Gouther Crag near Shap has route around 40m length.

In Borrowdale Seargeant Crag Slabs is really good around HVS, and Woden's Face has single pitch routes around S - VS but not much variety.

There are also single pitch routes on Upper Swirl crag near Thirlmere.

Second Sergeant Crag Slabs. Superb single pitch routes at HVS and above (with one not very good VS at far left end.). Bolt station descent for HVS's when I was there.
