Just wondering if anyone can recommend any easy climbing/scrambling on Skye and where is the best camp site?

I don't think we'll have time to fit in the Cullin but something smaller would be awesome.

Thank you in advance, Simon

In reply to STWright: Just do a section of the ridge, you don't have to do it length to length.
Sgurr nan Eag to Sgurr Alasdair.
Alasdair to the Inn pinn.
Sgurr na Banachdaich to Sgurr a' Mhadaidh.
Bruach na frithe to Sgurr nan Gillean.
Clach Glas Bla Bheinn traverse.
The Cioch.
Pinnacle Ridge.
The Dubh Ridge.

You could also try searching the forums, there's hundreds of threads about Skye in the database.

In reply to STWright: You'd be hard pushed to beat the Dubh Slabs/Ridge for scrambling/easy climbing. A 3 star moderate, it is described as..."the unique combination of easy climbing on immaculate slabs, superb setting, a scary abseil and a Munro tick make this arguably the finest outing of its grade in the country.

Campsites at Glen at Sligachan ( acces to pub) or Glen Brittle. For a mega day out catch the RIB from Elgol but make sure are going fast enough to get the last boat back.

In reply to skyejonah: I thought Clach Glas-Blaven Traverse was better than Pinnacle Ridge.

There is an abundance of big (or short) mountain routes in the guidebook which go up to V-Diff, try and get hold of a copy of SMC Cuillin book.
