I am trying to take one of my cams apart, a size four WC friend. I cant remove the disks that hold the trigger wires to the bar, and I dont really want to force them too much. Has anyone got an idea on how to take the disk out? Any advice would be appreciated.
Btw, I have fully considered the consequences of my repairing my own climbing equipment!
In reply to antoniusblock:
They are glued in on my friends so your best bet is probably to cut them out with a scalpel and if you mess it up buy a trigger wire repair kit.
In reply to antoniusblock: The ones on mine are just push fits, a good prod with something pointy (screwdriver would do it) on the side where the wires go in should get them out. Mine are a few years old though so they might have changed the design, or perhaps not?
In reply to Sean_J: Have tried this, but i wont budge so I think its glued in. Thanks to both of you, I will probably end up carefully drilling the centre out with a very small drill bit, then reuse the trigger.
