BMC Insurance - extra, or alternative?

I have BMC insurance for a climbing trip and I'm never totally sure what insurance I should get.

Does BMC act as an alternative to standard travel insurance or is it adviseable to get normal insurance too?

You won't n red travel insurance as well. BMC covers you for the usual baggage, flight delays, cancellation etc etc as well as the rescue and repatriation stuff.

Austrian Alpine Club insurance is cheap but it doesn't cover the normal travel insurance stuff.
