Well the bears left last night for The Old Man of Hoy and having just returned from my annual fortnight in Lanzarote and work commitments I was unable to make it. To say I'm pig sick is an understatement. However they were kind enough to pop in enroute to borrow my big cams and have a good gloat which of course was nice of them. Best of luck guys as it looks like your weather window is gonnae hold. Don't come back without the prize.

Me too - I had one hex big enough - just kept moving it up the crack!

As we are talking about hexes....

Did the Old Man three weeks ago for my sixtieth birthday. Came across hex seconding crux pitch; thought Danny had well jammed it in, but eventually got it out - I'm from Aberdeen. Turns out Danny hadn't placed it whilst leading the pitch after all - score!

Personally think that, for the crux pitch, the more big cams the better!

In reply to jtpj777: We had one big cam between two teams, when I placed it I told the second to leave it in for the following team, it's only on the big crack pitch you need it.
