Hi
I am heading off yo Belluno later this year for a holiday and I thought I would sneak some sport climbing in. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Does anyone know of any good guidebooks? Looking for climbs 6a-7a

In reply to bshill:

Various guides for that area. For example:

CIMBAND BELLUNO "Falesie della Valle del Piave", Edizioni Rocciaviva, Belluno 2006, 16.5 €

This site has some free info in Italian:

You will find an abundance of top class climbing. It is one of those "little known" areas with seemingly infinite potential.
Having said that, I have hardly climbed in the area at all, so it's mostly hearsay and from browsing guides!

We didn't have time to climb there during our recent holiday, but locals recommended Erto (near Longarone, quite close to Belluno). The main crags are known for hard, over-hanging climbs, but the 'No Big' sector has 40+ easier climbs, mainly 5s and 6s.

This guidebook covers the Cadore region, just to the north of Belluno:

This site has some good general information and includes some topos:

Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip, it's a fantastic area.
