Anyone know where I can get 3m of 11mm dynamic rope either on-line or in store (Bristol)?

In reply to mpc:

You can get 10.5mm in Cotswold Outdoors. I think GoOutdoors do a similar thickness.

In reply to mpc: Does it need to be new? if not your local wall should be able to give you a few meters

In reply to mpc: Can't believe noone has suggested the most obvious, Dicks Climbing. Would be very surprised if he doesn't have what you need

In reply to JoshOvki:

Go Outdoors do 10mm (semi-)static, but not dynamic by the metre (normally).

In reply to JoshOvki:

Yeah, I tried GoOutdoors, no luck.
Will see if I can get down to Cotswold Outdoor.

It's surprising but a lot of the typical chain outdoor shops don't stock the size

Cheers

Defo needs to be new - will be using as cow's tails on a rescue harness, so I wouldn't like to be relying on old stuff

cheers for the idea though

In reply to mpc:

I use Purcell prussiks on my rescue harness as my cows tails.

I find them more adaptable as I can prussik directly to a safety line or clip it as suits.

Just don't ask me how to tie the damn things.

In reply to mpc: Sounds like you need to go to a caving shop. Online I know that both Hitch n Hike and Starless river sell dynamic rope by the meter (or do if you phone them) for cavers' cowtails

Thats why you want a decent small climbing shop.
