If you're out climbing today and see a man in a purple Climbers Against Cancer T-shirt soloing as many easy routes as possible at Windgather, Castle Naze, Burbage, and The Roaches, you'll likely be looking at my Dad.
He's currently on a mission to climb a Vertical Mile to raise money for the Christie Cancer Hospital in Manchester, which will be around 180 routes.
Early this morning he was out at Hobson Moor racking up the metres soloing around twenty routes, and he's making his way along Windgather as I type.
I'm sure a lot of people on these forums have been affected by cancer, and any donations would be really appreciated.
Already, well over £2000 has already been raised for a great cause, so help Dad reach his target for £2 per metre - that's £3200! - by donating on his Just Giving Page.

I'll be updating as he progresses along his challenge.
