The annual 'Grin 'n' Bear It' fundraising event for the Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team is taking place on the moors above Langsett on Saturday 2nd November 2013. Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team cover the hills, the moors and the communities of South and West Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
You can choose between a 15km walk, a 25km Race or an 8km Family Walk. Entries are £10 in advance or £12 on the day which includes a car sticker, a certificate and a delicious home cooked meal at the finish. There are food stations along the route and of course plenty of tea and cakes.

Mountain Rescue volunteers are on call to offer help to climbers, runners, walkers, cyclists and vulnerable individuals 365 days a year. This a great opportunity for a both a day on the hill with friends, and to support Mountain Rescue.
